About

“A sacred chant in Sanskrit says, “Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu,” which means, “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.” I create everything based on this intention.

The word “mandala” means “circle.” Traditionally, this art form represents the cosmos symbolically or metaphysically. Based on the sacred Yantra science of Hinduism and Buddhism, mandalas serve as a guide to reflective practices such as meditation.

As an intuitive artist and yoga meditation teacher, I aim to stimulate higher self-awareness through these creations. If they invoke a sense of awe, reflection, inspiration, peace, love, or joy, you may have intuitively received a hidden, unspoken message.

My mandala artworks have been exhibited at the Jamestown Arts Center in North Dakota and the ColorWheel gallery in Minneapolis. I am also the recipient of the People’s Choice Award at the Annual Arts Show in Jamestown.

Artist Description

By tapping into the ether and practicing the sacred act of surrender, I allow my heart to capture the vibrations it attunes to. I dedicate every stroke to the one creative source, using my hands to transform those vibrations into colored patterns until I reach a sense of inner fulfillment.

I believe this inner connection allows art to transport us to extraordinary places within ourselves. I primarily use acrylics on wood to stay connected to nature, incorporating mirrors and rhinestones to reflect the Indian culture I am grateful to be a part of. I have also recently begun experimenting with other media.
